My faourits teams of cricket

The Pakistan National Cricket Team is an international cricket team representing Pakistan. It is administrated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Pakistan is a full member of the International Cricket Council with Test and One Day Internationl status. Before the independence of Pakistan, cricket was played before the first Pakistan national team was granted test match playing status. Documentation and archives show that during the 18th century, cricket was played on the western side of India and many successful Indian cricketers played for the English cricket team. It was not until July 28, 1952 that Pakistan started playing test match cricket. Their first match took place in Delhi against India on October of the same year. Their first international tour was to England during 1954. Over the half century, Pakistan has become one of the most challenging and unpredictable teams in the world, the team won the 1992 World Cup and were runners up in the 1999 World Cup. The country has produced several world-class players. As of October 2007, the Pakistani team has played 332 Test matches, winning 30.29%, losing 26.76% and drawing 42.94% of its games. The team is ranked sixth in the ICC Test Championship and fifth place in the ICC ODI Championship. On August 28, 2006, Pakistan won its debut Twenty20 Internationl match in England and were runners up in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in September 2007. They are the current ICC World Twenty20 champions, beating Sri Lanka on 21 June 2009 by eight wickets

The player i like best

Shane Keith Warne (born 13 September 1969) is a former Australian international cricketer widely regarded as the greatest leg spin bowler in the history of the game. While his career statistics suggest that, despite his aggregate performances, phenomenal popularity and notoriety, he was perhaps less effective and destructive than the interbellum Australian leg-spinners Bill O'Reilly and Clarrie Grimmet, his durability and impact on the modern game assure his place alongside them in cricket's pantheon. Indeed, in 2000, he was selected by a panel of cricket experts as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Century, the only specialist bowler selected in the quintet.Warne played his first Test match in 1992, and his 708 wickets was the record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket, until it was broken by Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan on 3 December 2007. He took over 1000 international wickets (in Tests and One-Day Internationals)—he was the second bowler to reach this milestone after Muttiah Muralitharan. A useful lower-order batsman, Warne also scored over 3000 Test runs, and he holds the record for most Test runs without a century. His career was plagued by scandals off the field; these included a ban from cricket for testing positive for a prohibited substance, and charges of bringing the game into disrepute. As well as Australia, he also played Australian domestic cricket for his home state of Victoria, and English domestic cricket for Hampshire. He was captain of Hampshire for three seasons, from 2005 to 2007.He retired from international cricket in January 2007, at the end of Australia's 5-0 Ashes series victory over England. Three other players integral to the Australian team of recent years, Glenn McGrath, Damien Martyn and Justin Langer, also retired from Tests at the same time which led some, prompting the Australian captain, Ricky Ponting, to declare it the "end of an era".Following his retirement from international cricket, Warne played a full season at Hampshire in 2007. He had been scheduled to appear in the 2008 English cricket season, but in late March 2008 he announced his retirement from playing first-class cricket in order to be able to spend more time pursuing interests outside of cricket. In March 2008, Warne signed to play in the Indian Premier League for the Jaipur team, Rajasthan Royals in the first edition of the tournament, where he played the roles of both captain and coach. He led his team to victory against the Chennai Super Kings in a cliffhanger of a final match on 1 June 2008.

The best Ground

The Wanderers cricket groThis is the ground where 2003 World Cup final was played and after Ricky Ponting hurricane, Indian team never looked like winning the title. This is the ground where record 434 runs were made and then chased down - called the greatest one day international. And this is the cricket ground which is nick named - "The bull ring" for it's intense spectator atmosphare. It's called The wanderers in Johannesburg. The ground realities :Built in 1956, this was the third test ground in Johannesburg, South Africa and never failed to mesmerise cricket lovers with its beauty and facilities. Another factors that you should know if you are planning to visit this 30,000 seat stadium is that it's approximately 25 kms away from Johannesburg's "Jan Smuts" International airport. The speciality of Wanderers stadium is it's "Open east stands" where cricket lovers can enjoy a cricket match and winter sunshine - not seated but laying on their backs - half naked. This Johannesburg grounds had four 30 meter high floodlights for quite some time, but they replaced it with five 65 meters floodlights to make Day/night cricket matches a spectacle. On the Wednesday evening of 1st October 2001, a fire broke into the clubhouse of the Wanderers stadium, which destroyed nearly all the memorabilia and everything else related to the history of South African cricket. The irony is that the fire brigade came, checked and found nothing wrong. They started their way back before the "clock tower" for the historic pavilion collapsed. The Wanderer pitch :The pitch at this Johannesburg cricket stadium used to be fast and bouncy, very similar to what you expect from a South African pitch but lately, it has been a batsmen paradise. The exgaggerating bounce has turned into "just perfect" for batsmen to play their strokes and the fastness of the pitch helps them as well.Although the test matches at this ground has been closely fought, which means that the pitch curators know what they do with Wanderers pitch.Records at Wanderers :The highets test match score at this ground is 214 by Greg Blewett of Australia while the best bowling figues goes to Hugh Tayfield for his 9 for 113 againt England in 1956 - the very first test match at the Wanderers ground. The weather report.und in Johannesburg

The best umpire

Taufel played in the Sydney Grade cricket competition for Cammeray Cricket Club as a fast-medium bowler, but was forced to retire due to a back injury. He had no intention of becoming an umpire, but agreeing to go along with a friend to an umpiring course, and he passed the subsequent exam. He began umpiring grade cricket, but progressed rapidly through the ranks and made his first-class debut in 1995, aged just 24. He quickly proved himself to be an excellent decision maker, and stood in his first One Day International (ODI) on January 13 1999 in the match between Australia and Sri Lanka at Sydney. He was just 28 years old; younger than some of the players. After yet more impressive performances he was given the honour of standing in his first test match in December 2000 - the Boxing Day Test between Australia and West Indies at Melbourne. He stood in another test match a year later between Australia and South Africa at Adelaide, during which he was criticised for not intervening when Brett Lee bowled four successive vicious bouncers at tail-end batsmen. Other than this, however, his decision making was excellent, and he became a member of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires in 2002. He was then chosen to umpire at the 2003 Cricket World Cup, and his performances were sufficiently impressive to earn him a promotion to the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, the panel from which neutral umpires are chosen for test matches and ODIs.Some people believe that Taufel is the best umpire in the world, and in August 2006 in the ICC's annual umpire review he was officially ranked second for accuracy (behind Darrell Hair), and top overall. He is highly respected for his decision making ability, and is also highly regarded for his calm and positive on field manner. However, being so accurate for so much of the time does put additional pressure on him to perform, and after some poor decisions in a test match between England and New Zealand at Trent Bridge in 2004 he was branded "Awful Taufel" by the British press. He quickly recovered though, and went on to stand in the final of the 2004 Champions Trophy. He has also been appointed to several high profile India-Pakistan fixtures, in which he has performed excellently, and to the 2005 ICC SuperSeries, where Australia took on a Rest-of-the-World XI. At the 2006 Champions Trophy he umpired a semi-final, but could not umpire the final because Australia had reached the final. In January 2007 he became the youngest umpire to stand in 100 ODIs, and in April 2007 took charge of the World Cup semi-final between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, being ineligible for the final which featured Australia. In late May 2008 Taufel officiated in the 2nd test match at Old Trafford, England vs New Zealand with his good friend Darrel Hair. This was Hair's comeback match after a long break from the game.On 3rd March 2009, Taufel was one of the officials caught in the attack on Sri Lanka's cricket team by terrorists in Lahore, Pakistan. He criticized the Pakistan security lapse for the incident.
